katy vestal grew up immersed in a world of natural inspiration on a lakeside wildlife refuge, where she began figgy- and from her mother- an english teacher, passionate gardener and beautiful cook. it is these influences that push her to believe in sweet creations always fresh, with a nod toward the season at hand and a dedication to detail, taste and sincerity- from the inside out.
at figgy, we believe a treat should delight and startle, from the eyes to the tastebuds. we place special emphasis on using natural, whole food, ingredients- crafting pastries, cakes and desserts free of dyes, chemicals or additives, and if animal based, ethically and humanely sourced. a creation baked from scratch can be an elaborate labor of love, but should be made up of what is simple and pure.
